Joni DavenportThe ALATA Executive Council would like to congratulate our new Vice President Ms. Joni Davenport. We are incredibly excited to where her leadership will take us. She is already working on things to create another exciting educational experience at our 2018 Symposium at Samford University on June 1-2, 2018.  Registration will be up soon, so check the site for new information.  

Nominations Open for ALATA Honors and Awards

We would like to encourage any and all new members to our association for 2018! For all new members for this 2018 calendar year, there will a drawing for prizes from the list of new members. Remember that you are automatically a member through your NATA membership, but, if not, you can join independently as an ALATA only member by completing the form here and sending it and the fee to the ALATA Treasurer. To be eligible for the prize drawing, you must join before May 1, 2018.  NATA membership Form or  ALATA Membership Form

2018 ALATA Honors & Awards Nominations are open until April 1st. The following awards will be recognized at the state meeting in June.

  • Clinical/Industrial/Corporate Athletic Training Award

  • Sports Medicine Person of the Year Award

  • Hall of Fame

ALATA Annual Meeting set for June 1-2, 2018 at Samford University

The Annual Meeting and Symposium
The ALATA Annual Meeting is Alabama's largest meeting of the year geared toward the athletic trainer. The meeting draws over 150 of the state's athletic trainers. This two day meeting features the leading authorities in sports medicine presenting a variety of topics of interest for today's athletic trainer. For supplier members, the Annual Meeting is an opportunity to introduce new products, generate new customers, develop relationships and catch up on the latest issues facing the athletic trainers of Alabama. Members receive discounted registration fees.
