From
ALATA
President,
Heloise
Jones |
Dear
ALATA
Membership,
I hope
that
this
letter
finds
each of
you
doing
well. I
hope
that
each of
you had
a safe
and
enjoyable
summer.
It’s
hard to
believe
that it
is the
beginning
of
August
and that
football
season
is upon
us. I
honestly
believe
that it
comes
quicker
every
year.
I would
just
like to
extend a
great
big
thank
you to
all of
you who
attended
our
annual
athletic
trainer’s
meeting
in May
in San
Destin.
I,
unfortunately,
was not
able to
attend
the
meeting
the
entire
time due
to a
previous
family
commitment,
but from
the
feedback
that I
have
received
thus far
a good
time was
had by
all. If
you were
not
fortunate
enough
to
attend
the
meeting
I
certainly
hope
that you
will do
all that
you can
to
attend
next
year’s
meeting
in San
Destin.
On
another
note, I
know you
all are
probably
curious
as to
what is
going on
legislatively
among
our
athletic
training
community.
I would
like to
ensure
each
member
that the
ALATA
Executive
Council
has been
very
busy
this
summer
in terms
of
preparing
for
further
legislative
activity
in the
coming
future.
I
certainly
hope
that you
will
continue
to check
the
web-site
and read
your
e-blasts
as we
will
continue
to make
every
effort
to keep
you
updated
on
events
as they
occur.
We will
definitely
need
everyone’s
help if
we are
going to
make
this a
successful
year in
legislation.
On that
note, I
wish
each of
you a
successful
fall in
your
respective
settings
and look
forward
to
seeing
and
talking
with
everyone
soon.
Sincerely,
Heloise
Belarmino
Jones,
ATC, LAT
President
